The new Fortnite Chapter 6 trailer has arrived, and in it, a lot of great content appears in the game, including Big Hero 6 characters and this one giant lizard that is instantly recognizable. Currently free-to-play, the Fortnite Battle Pass Royale game offers content updates, skins, and fun events at certain intervals, not less than in a few months.
The core title is open to all players without any monetary investment and does not limit players experiencing the game or progressing through the title; however, the base game is supplemented by a paid Battle Pass containing a lot of bonuses to use.
Fortnite Chapter 6 YouTube Trailer
A new trailer uploaded to the Fortnite Chapter 6 YouTube channel depicts what fans can look forward to in Chapter 6 starting tomorrow, 1st December, and the update will come bearing lots of surprises. It was launched a few days earlier than planned when the game posted it on its news feed by mistake and Guille_GAG from X.
What is Hunters?
This is Chapter 6, Season 1, termed as ‘Hunters,’ and will feature an Asiacentric theme with a new map, masks, and bosses. Some old but known favorites will also be returning to the game, such as a revamped train and new katanas. Some forms of traversal have also received enhancements, although some are new and have players interested in the gameplay; an example is the new wall jump. In addition to all this content, the new chapter also introduces a massive new threat: Godzilla.
Towards the end of the trailer, Fortnite leaves one of the big surprises of this update with a giant Godzilla walking through the map. The news was even posted a few days ago on the official Godzilla website to officially announce that the giant monster will be coming to the site to bring more chaos for the players to run into additionally. The kaiju will be in its Godzilla x Kong attire, “standing head and shoulder above the rest of its cast in stunning magenta.”
Theme of Fortnight
The theme of demon hunters continues also in new chapter throughout the first season. New features that one can notice in the trailer for Chapter 6 include; samurai, ninja, a mysterious cat-man figure, and so on. Also yes, seen in the video also is Baymax from Big Hero 6 which appears in the game with the new red colour skin.
The Fortnite Battle Pass
The base Fortnite Battle Pass price is going up for Chapter 6, and this new chapter is bringing a lot of content to Fortnite to justify the price hike. However, it is not a very large increase; the pass was previously at 950 VBucks for a pass and is now at 1000 VBucks for the pass. It doesn’t affect how players are going to pay for the pass because you can get packs of 1000 VBucks in the store of the game right now for $8.99. But this is not very healthy, as it is the first time that Epic has upgraded the Battle Pass price ever since the company has been online for seven years.
Conclusion
This is even more true for some countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Nigeria, Vietnam, and the Philippines, as reported in a post on the Fortnite website last month. Other countries that had prior increases in 2023 include the UK, Canada, Japan, and other countries. However, a 50 V-Buck increase does not sound like a very significant change, but the gradual creep-up in prices could signal future updates that will affect Fortnite’s pricing and content. At least, it looks like the game is going make up for the price increase by giving fans even more to do in its chapters—the fun things, and Fortnite Chapter 6 stuff that will be included.
