Black Ops 6 Zombies now have the much-awaited King of the Dead Event. This event introduces a twist to the gameplay of Zombies with the Season 4 Reloaded content update element. Players challenge each other to be on top of the leaderboards that reward them with great achievements after eliminating zombies. It is a time-based event, held between July 10th and July 17th, 2025, during which players will have an exact week to showcase their skills in the zombie arena.
This guide is divided into sections on the mechanics of how the event works, the rewards to be acquired, and the fastest way to reach the highest levels.
What Is the King of the Dead Event?
The King of the Dead Event is a time-bound competition exclusive to Black Ops 6 Zombies. It moves the classic zombie-killing gameplay into the orderly form of the leaderboard competition. Players no longer need to simply survive waves of undead, but they receive points depending on the number of zombies they kill and depending on whether or not they can finish some Easter Egg quests on the maps of the game.
As opposed to leaderboards around the world, this event puts you into a 30-player bracket. This is a smaller given format of competition, whereby ranking is much easier and just. All the matches are to be added to your event score. The ranking will be better, the further you play and the more you kill effectively, the higher your ranking at the end of the event.
King of the Dead Event – How Points Work
What is used in this event as a currency of success is points. Each type of zombie awards an individual a certain number of points.
- Ordinary Zombies- 1 point apiece
- Special Zombies- 25
- Elite Zombie- 100
- Boss Enemies 500 points
Completing the key Easter Eggs on every Zombies map also gives an enormous reward-
- Liberty Falls- 3,500 points
- Bretagne- 7,500 points
- Citadelle des Morts- 10.000 points
- The Tomb- 6,000 points
- Shattered Veil 9,000 points
It is possible to accumulate thousands of points in just a single session when it is planned intelligently. Taking down elite enemies and missions is one of the best ways to secure a high score on the leaderboard.
Leaderboard Mechanics
This game is not run on a universal scoreboard. Rather, after getting involved, you would be grouped into 30 players. That recent goal is easy, what you have to do–score more than the others before time runs out.
Your overall position at the end of the placement determines the limit of rewards you obtain on the leaderboard. The higher you reach, the better the GobbleGums you get.
Here is what the leaderboard rewards look like-
- Top 30- Bent Cache Back
- Top 25- Shields Up!, Stock Option
- Top 20 free fire- Free Fire
- Top 15- Who’s keeping Score? Soda Fountain
- Top 10- Wall Power
- Top 5/ 5. Crate Power, Idle Eyes
- No. 3- Wonderbar!
- First Place- Near Death Experience and Perkaholic
GobbleGums that are released during the event are the only way to get players access to these leaderboard GobbleGums after the event has passed. There are immediate rewards that are given automatically according to final ranks.
Milestone Rewards
You will get rewarded even when you do not go to the top tier because of participation. The milestone rewards are unlocked immediately when you reach a specific point level
- 1000 points- Power Keg
- 2,500 pts – Temporal gift
- 290 points, 4,500 points- Kill Joy
- 7,000 points- Nowhere But Here
These GobbleGums can be of use almost in every match of Zombies, such perks include- instant power-up, teleportation, or slowing down zombie walk speed. Milestone rewards will allow all players something to pursue, no matter their rank.
The Hints for Going to the Top of the Leaderboard
1. Target High-Value Zombies
The best zombies to get are the special and elite zombies, as they are highly valued and would sell much more than the regular ones. Use weapons and GobbleGums that will help you stay longer on the lists where elite enemies are met more frequently.
2. Whole Easter Egg Hunts
Every major quest rewards a lot of points. Even in the instance that you fail to reach the last round, consider completing the quest something that is bound to earn you hundreds of points. Work with teammates in case they are needed to be successful.
3. Stick to High-Yield Maps
The confidence in your abilities will allow you to play on the maps with the best quest rewards, such as Citadelle des Morts or Shattered Veil. Such maps are more difficult to encounter, though the payoff is exciting.
4. Make the Most of Time Match
The number of enemies that spawn depends on the length of the match. The more the enemies equals more points executive does not have time to dwell on the pain and the suffering that went on during the years that are not recorded in this book and to try and add up the number of people who were killed and who died in the years that are not recorded in this book and to say that this number of people account to this much suffering that went on with that number of people being slaughtered.
Number of people being killed, and that number of people being burned out and being incinerated, and that number of people being impaled and being pierced and being pierced and being pierced. Uh, no man has Lean on crowd control tactics and effective loadouts to remain alive and keep the zombies coming at you.
Why This is a Big Deal
The King of the Dead Event is not only about GobbleGums. It makes players replay the Zombies maps with a purpose. As opposed to simply grinding or playing casually, you now have an incentive to engage in more challenging pursuits and complete some story quests.
This is also a nostalgic throwback to the competitive Zombies modes of Black Ops earlier. It also shoves all that old-school race-to-the-top-lovin”, but with more reward and scoring types to gather.
Rewards Overview
The King of the Dead Event, in contrast to the other seasonal events that concern cosmetics or blueprints of weapons, is about performance-related perks. All the rewards are GobbleGums that are further categorized into two types-
Leaderboard-Based GobbleGums
These are strong and at times, hard-earned GobbleGums awarded to you depending on the ending spot on the leaderboard. The players holding the top 5 or above will obtain revolutionary items for the game, such as Perkaholic or Wonderbar!
Milestone-Based GobbleGums
These GobbleGums are playable only and reward players who consistently play the games and earn thousands of points. They have offensive and defensive benefits that boost any zombie’s loadout.
Timeline and Deadline
